My husband David and I have lived just around the corner from the Arnold Arboretum for almost fifty years. This has been a great place to raise our three children. The Arboretum is one of the most beautiful tree sanctuaries in New England and it a fun place to walk our dogs and wander for hours. Having grown up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Tennessee, I have always been fascinated by trees their magical and intricate branches that sweep the earth, soar upwards and embrace the surrounding space. The complexity of trees and the ever-changing beauty of nature are my passions. I find that they inspire my creative energy and bring my art to life. The Arboretum was my special inspiration when I retired in 2016 and returned to my art. Most of these works were painted from 2017 to 2020.
