Italy and Spain Sketches

In 2005 our very generous children gave David and I a 30th Anniversary Trip to Italy and Spain.  We spent our first nights in Toledo and a week in Madrid. We then traveled to Rome to meet our Canadian friends Anne and Garry Armstrong. We visited  Rome, Florence and Venice. We spent a week in Tuscany at a lovely country villa near Chianti.  (Colored pencil sketches). We took numerous day trips including ones to Sienna and Cinque Terre.  David and I returned to Spain and visited Granada, Sevilla, Cordoba and returned to Madrid for our trip home. My only regret was not spending more time “soaking in the different cultures through sketching”. I’ve found that it is a  wonderful way to remember my adventures and share them with others.  Many thanks to our children Mark, Sasha and Dan for this marvelous trip.
